Established in 2010, the Gulf Coast Flash is a professional basketball team based in Gulfport, MS. This year marked the team’s 1st season as the state’s only ABA basketball team. Their 1st season was marked by an outstanding record of 21-6 which sent them to the ABA Championship Finals where the team made ABA history by defeating the #1, #2, #3, #4th ranked teams in the nation & claiming the 2nd place ABA ranking.

3-9-12 | Gulf Coast Flash Announces 2011-2012 Season Opener
The Mississippi GulfCoast Flash ABA Basketball team is heading to the ABA Regional playoffs for thesecond year in a row. The Flash had an amazing inaugural 2011 season by makingABA history as the only team to ever beat the #1, 2, and 3 seated teams in theABA to advance to the Final Four and ended their season as the #2 team in the nation. They are now headed to Jacksonville Floridawhere they will take on the Athens Georgia Razors followed by JacksonvilleGiants going up against the FayettevilleFlight from Fayetteville North Carolina. The winners of these two games willmatch up for the Atlantic Regional Championship on March 17th, and18th in Jacksonville at the War Memorial Arena starting at 6 PM.
11-4-11 | Gulf Coast Flash Announces 2011-2012 Season Opener
The Gulf Coast Flash will take to the hardwood in a competitive season opener against the East Point Jaguars for the first time in the 2011-12 season on November 12, 2011. The offseason saw a ton of changes for the franchise with many new teams being added and teams being placed in different conferences. Several veteran stars are gone, but this will still be an exciting game and all of our new players will be able to showcase their talents . The first game offers fans the first real chance to see how the GCF, look and play at a new venue. All of our home games will be played @ the new Bert Jenkins Gym at the Gulfport High School Gymnasium. Doors will open at 6 P.M. and games start at 7 P.M.
The Gulf Coast Flash will also sponsor a free “Coast Wide Pep Rally” on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 6PM at the Bert Jenkins Gym. During their inaugural season the Gulf Coast Flash captured the 2010-2011 Western Regional Championship, Southwestern Divisional Tournament, and made ABA history by defeating the #1, 2,3,& 4 seated teams in the nation and advanced to the ABA Championship. GCF won 2nd place at the ABA National Championship games in Winnie Texas. Come on out to meet and greet the players and coaching staff of the Gulf Coast Flash team. Gulf Coast Flash Makes Visit to Bibleway Fall Festival
On last Saturday Oct. 29, 2011 team members of the Gulf Coast Flash Semi-Professional ABA Basketball Team made appearances at Harrison Central High School’s Fall Coastwide Basketball Jamboree. There they met with and greeted the fans and coaching staff from area schools. They then traveled to the 28th Street Park and made a visit with the Bibleway youth group. The visit was planned by leaders of the youth group and our Strength and Conditioning Coach, Keith Warren. The children were very excited to have them come and be a part of their Fall Festival at the park. The GFC players participated in basketball games, flag football, the jumbo slide, and many other activities. The team owner, Jeremi Washington, has pledged to sponsor a junior league basketball team for their church youth group. And of course they will be known as the “Jr. Gulf Coast Flashers”
